Zagreb city

Zagreb is the Croatian capital, located in the continental central Croatia, on the southern slopes of Medvednica and on the banks of the Sava River. The climate is temperate continental in Zagreb , with hot summers and cold winters , which allows its residents to enjoy the summer swimming on Jarun Lake and winter skiing on the slopes of Sljeme .

The first written mention of Zagreb dates back to 1094. It consists of two historical parts ..Down Town and the Upper Town, conected with funicular railway ( Uspinjača ). Zagreb funicular railway with only 66 meters is also known as the shortest railway in the world for public transport, a protected monument and a popular tourist attraction .
